1 > Departing from La Rochelle:
You’ll stop off on the 3 islands that make up the Pertuis d’Antioche: Ré, Oléron and Aix. On such a route, the aim is to study and, depending on the tide and weather conditions, enter the ports encountered along the way (La Flotte en Ré, St Martin de Ré, Ars en Ré, St Denis d’Oléron, Le Douhet, Boyardville,…), making it easier for you to return to them on your own the next time.
Head northwest to one of the Vendée ports (Bourgenay, Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, Les Sables d’Olonne) or, depending on your wishes and the weather, stop off at one of the magnificent anchorages on the magnificent Ile d’Yeu (Port de la Meule, Anse des Soux, du Château, etc.).
After tasting the local specialties (smoked tuna, lobster, patagos, etc.), head for the bay of Quiberon and its islands (Houat, Hoëdic, Belle-île, etc.) and why not a detour to the Gulf of Morbihan if the weather is favorable?
Road to La Rochelle while maneuvering and tuning this magnificent sailboat that is the Pogo 1250, a cruise ship unlike any other. Its powerful hull will take you at speeds you have not yet experienced, and its comfort to live in makes it the ideal boat to discover while having fun.
During this coastal navigation, you will take full advantage of the different aspects of life on board while training yourself in the techniques necessary for autonomy on a sailboat: port maneuvers, local and general weather, point on nautical chart with and without GPS, settings , mooring, beaconing, reefing, spinnaker maneuvers, …
You’ll be sailing mainly during the day, with stopovers in port or at anchor, so you’ll be able to take full advantage of the different aspects of life on board, while learning the techniques needed to become autonomous on a sailboat.
The on-board instructor adapts his instructions according to the level and objectives of each crew member, alternating practice with more theoretical sessions covering topics such as the use of safety equipment, various emergency procedures, pre-sailing preparation (man and ship), mechanics, navigation on paper and electronic charts, weather, routing, etc.
For trainees, the aim is generally to rent or buy a boat, join a crew for a cruise, or simply enjoy the pleasure of sailing aboard a yacht in complete safety.
Alternatively, you can also choose the boat you want (POGO 30, POGO 36, POGO 1250, POGO 44, RM 890+, RM 970, RM 1180, NEEL 43 ), on which we can add a coach on the dates that suit you, for a tailor-made program.
2 > From La Trinité sur Mer (South Brittany):
Courses to the islands of Houat, Hoëdic, the Gulf of Morbihan, Belle Île, Groix, or the Glénan Islands are FFV validating courses (initiation Level FFV 1, improvement Level FFV 2, skipper Level FFV 3/4, then Level 5). The instructor adapts to the skills, training needs and objectives of each trainee.
Available on POGO 30, POGO 36, POGO 1250, POGO 44 or RM 1180 monohulls.
3 > Leaving from Dahouët (North Brittany):
The aim is to have fun on a comfortable, high-performance catamaran, a TS (ORC) 42, to acquire automatic skills for safe sailing, to learn techniques for sailing maneuvers (tacking, tacking, gybing, reefing, man overboard, staysail on drop stay, gennaker on furler, spinnaker on sock,…), motor maneuvers, managing entry/exit from moorings and harbors, to understand trimming, to perfect weather analysis, to progress in sailing the “Dahouët” (North Brittany). ), engine maneuvers, managing anchorage and port entry/exit, understanding trimming, perfecting weather analysis, progressing in “old-fashioned” navigation without electronics, using only a nautical chart, a bearing compass and a Cras ruler, as well as in “modern” navigation using the latest electronic instruments, making maneuvers more fluid, in short acquiring a sense of seamanship with a view to becoming self-sufficient aboard a sailboat.
The route chosen will depend on weather and tide conditions, with sailing between Saint Malo and Roscoff (https://www.portsdebretagne.fr/cartographie ), a different anchorage each evening in a North Brittany port and the Channel Islands, etc.
